We work with schools, both in the gallery, and remotely, to support children and young people to engage with and learn about art and its relevance to everyday life, and to support teachers to embed contemporary art into the curriculum.

We offer interactive tours of current and future exhibitions. These can be booked here. With continuing COVID restrictions in place virtual introductions as well as onsite visits are possible.

We also have resources to use directly with learners in the classroom. Use this guide to compile your own tailored lessons exploring questions of identity, respresentation and image making in response to Mohamed Bourouissa’s exhibition HARa!!!!!!hAaaRAAAAA!!!!!hHAaA!!!.

Alternatively try our #FridayFact, programme,  devised by artist Holly Graham to support cross-curricular learning in the classroom in relation to colonialism and the histories and legacies of sugar, while looking at the contemporary impacts of past events on our lived experience today.

We also deliver training and development (CPD) sessions for teachers and educators focused on embedding contemporary art into the curriculum.
