Flare Up Stay and Play
This summer at Goldsmiths CCA, parents, carers and families are invited to get creative and explore our current exhibition, Flare-Up.
Flare-Up brings together UK-based and international visual artists whose work engages with the poetics and aesthetics of illness, disability, neurodivergence and Deafness. Presenting work by nineteen artists across Goldsmiths CCA, the exhibition brings together sculpture, installation, painting, film, poetry, music and performance as tools of expression and activism.
The Stay and Play will begin with a guided tour of the exhibition for parents and carers. Families will then have a chance to take part in a fun bunting decoration workshop, inspired by Flare-Up artist Benoît Piéron, using materials such as colourful stickers, pressed flowers, crayons, fuzzy pom poms, and more. Each family will be able to decorate two sets of bunting, one to take home, and one to be donated to a local paediatrics ward.
This event is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Although we recommend this activity for ages 4 and upwards, the session is open to all. Spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
