Crossing Borders
Teacher's Resources
This resource pack takes Eugenio Dittborn’s exhibition Airmail Paintings as a starting point for thinking about communication, migration, national borders and histories of injustice.
By making large scale collaborative artworks to exchange in the mail, students explore representation and storytelling, whilst reflecting on the relationship between the local and the global.
The guide includes plans for workshops, timed instructions, illustrations and dialogue extracts for use in the classroom. You can apply it to suit your individual learners and context.
Crossing Borders was developed by artist Meera Chauda and practical philosopher Ayeesha de Lanerolle as part of Your Voice Can Change The World, an exchange project between schools in Lewisham and South Africa.
