Trans+ Pride Banner Making Workshop
Ahead of London Trans+ Pride 2025 on Sat 26 Jul, we are hosting a banner making workshop; in celebration of Pride’s roots in protest and to bring together and provide space for our community, as well as show support and love for our trans siblings.
London Trans+ Pride (founded in 2019) is a response to the injustices that trans, intersex, gender nonconforming, and non-binary people face daily, all over the world. Together we will be making signs calling for equality, via positive legislative change and radical improvement to our education and public healthcare system, to recognise and support the needs of trans people as much as those of anyone else living in the UK.
A variety of banner making materials will be provided – including cardboard, coloured paper, magazines, marker pens, glue and scissors – as well as refreshments. Feel free to bring any additional materials, however we ask you not to bring any wet materials such as paint, as we will be working in a carpeted space.
Participants are welcome to drop in at any time during the workshop and the event is free for all! We encourage anyone who is able to donate to the London Trans+ Pride fundraiser here.

BIOGRAPHIES
London Trans+ Pride (LTP) is a grassroots trans-led community organisation, operating as a collective of volunteers for and with the trans+ community in the UK. They are responsible for organising the annual London Trans+ Pride, with the 2025 event making history as the biggest trans pride event in the world.
Starting as a passion project by Amy (they/them) Aimless Gallery was founded on anti-profit/anti-capitalistic principles. Since inception their focus has been on raising funds for Mermaids (a charity for Trans youth) and as they have grown they continue to raise money and awareness to help with gender-affirming care for genderqueer people. Aimless Gallery also functions as Amy’s art practice, through which they draw attention to political issues through clothing; viewing queerness as not just a sexuality but a political expression.
