Participants: Roland Carline, Rebecca Swift (Entelechy Arts) and Rachel Gileda.

Carline and his collaborators discussed the development of 4 LIVE WORKS, with a focus on staging performance and working with performers of different ages and abilities within the context of contemporary art galleries, with some focus on ethical questions, artists’ agency and institutional discourse.  The discussion was followed with a celebration to mark the end of the project.

 

BIOGRAPHIES

Roland Carline studied at the Royal Academy Schools (g. 2018) and Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (g. 2003). He has exhibited at Bloomberg New Contemporaries, South London Gallery (2019), Deptford X (2019),  the Old Fire Stations, Oxford (2018), Strange Cargo Gallery, Folkestone (2017).

Rachel Gildea is an independent dance artist doing socially engaged work in diverse communities. She is a Co-Director of BLINK Dance Theatre. She has a BA Dance and Culture (Surrey University) and an MA in Applied Theatre (Goldsmiths University).

Rebecca Swift is the creative director currently of Entelechy Arts, leading on the programmes Ambient Jam and Walking Through Walls. She joined Entelechy Arts 26 years ago, shortly after it began.
