Goldsmiths CCA is currently running DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP; a social social-distancing school which provides creative learning activities in response to covid-19 school closures.

Tasks are posted on the project’s Instagram @down_up_down_up every week and focus on simple things do at home with limited everyday materials. Activities have been devised with children and families in mind but we invite you to get involved whether you’re 1 or 100.

Join us going down and up and down and up. Share what you make #downupdownup or send to learncca@gold.ac.uk

DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP is a collaboration with Rosalie Schweiker, Ben Messih and Sadie St Hilaire. Design by Mia Frostner.

A conversation about the project between Engagement Curator Trish Scott, and Rosalie Schweiker is available here.

Under usual circumstances Goldsmiths CCA supports an ambitious programme of learning and engagement activities.

On Tuesdays, when the gallery is open, we offer creative 90 minute workshops for schools to encourage new ways of experiencing, thinking and learning inspired by our exhibitions. We can accommodate groups of up to 30 who will have exclusive use of the gallery. Workshops are devised in collaboration with artists and partner schools and are led by our in-house gallery team.

To book a place please complete and return the attached form to learncca@gold.ac.uk

Workshops are free for state funded schools in the Greater London area.

We work in partnership with different community groups based in Lewisham. If you are a local group or organisation email us at  learncca@gold.ac.uk to find out more. We’d love to meet you!
