If One Feather Falls…
Learning Resource
This publication features proposals by ten young artists for monuments to 2022. It accompanies Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art’s exhibition, Testament (21 Jan – 3 April 2022), which invited artists to rethink the role and form of monuments, and how they relate to questions of memory, history, identity and power. Artworks were selected by Year 13 students from Prendergast School, following an open call issued to school-aged children at the end of 2021.
The included texts are formed both from the young artists’ original statements and interviews conducted following their selection. The physical copy of this publication comprises an enclosing folder, booklet, the ten proposals on individual postcards, and a final postcard for adding your own monument idea.
The resource is downloadable here and the physical version can be found in the gallery or requested here.
