Exhibitions

It is with regret that we announce that Goldsmiths CCA is closing to the public from today until October. We are closing because we have been occupied by a student group, which prevents us from being able to operate properly as a public art gallery.

We’re doing this because while the occupation continues, we are unable fulfil the terms required by our insurers for keeping artworks safe and unable to maintain health and safety standards for visitors and staff.

This temporary closure means we are rescheduling our next exhibition, which is the first solo show in London of Galli, a brilliant and under-appreciated German artist in her 80s. The exhibition will be rescheduled to early 2025. We also regret that our Residents Programme, which houses school groups, student groups as well as artist and community groups, is also being paused for the time being.

We want to express our extreme sadness and sorrow to stakeholders (artists, educators and audiences) and staff for this temporary closure, which is a decision we have taken with a heavy heart. We hope for an end to the occupation, so Goldsmiths CCA can return to supporting artists, making exhibitions, and hosting our Residents.
