Join us for our Winter Holiday Stay and Play session as part of the Karrabing Film Collective exhibition at Goldsmiths CCA. For this workshop, children will be provided with materials to create miniature festive trees, which they will then be able to decorate. Parents and Carers will be given a tour of Karrabing Film Collective’s exhibition, Night Fishing with Ancestors, with a chance to reflect on the exhibition in a relaxed environment with refreshments.Karrabing Film Collective are a grassroots Indigenous media group of approximately 30 members living in the Belyuen Community in Australia’s Northern Territory. The exhibition focuses on ecological approaches from an indigenous perspective, proposing an ultimate connectedness to pressing issues such as the global climate emergency. Through storytelling and symbolism, The Karrabing Film Collective explore the underwritten effects of extractive capitalism and colonialism. This event is free to attend, and open to all. It is suitable for those with children from the age of 5 upwards.
