Family Workshop: Fledgling Twitchers
Have you got what it takes to become a master bird watcher? Join amateur artist and bird watcher (or ‘twitcher’ as they like to be called), Nick Granata, on a family field trip from Goldsmiths CCA to Folkestone Gardens in Deptford. We’ll be making our own noccies (binoculars, that is!) and head off on the Any Bird Aloud birdbox trail along Woodpecker Road, constructed in the summer of 2020 alongside Sophie Barber’s exhibition, The Greatest Song a Songbird Ever Sung with families from Deptfordfolk.
On this trip, through a series of fun activities, you’ll learn the basics of birdwatching, check to see if there are any chicks in the 10 bird boxes on the trail, and try to spot as many birds as you can along the way!
