Down, Up, Down, Up
Online art school
March 2020 – ongoing
Down, Up, Down, Up is an online art school. Activities were published every week from March – July 2020 for families and young people to do at home, using everyday household materials and objects. The project was initially set up as a ‘social’ socially-distanced school in response to Covid-19 school closures.
Tasks were designed by Ben Messih, Rosalie Schweiker and Sadie St Hilaire in collaboration with 20 local art testers, aged between 4 and 18, who worked with us to develop activities before they were published online. Design by Mia Frostner.
Activities can be accessed via the project Instagram account. You can also read a conversation about the project and why it was set up.
