Community Curators
Community Curators are a collective of creative first and second generation migrants who live and/or studied in Lewisham. Their curatorial practice seeks to uncover and amplify lesser-told perspectives. They celebrate the experiences that we are told should bring shame and aim to showcase the full spectrum of what is possible when we shift, both physically and spiritually.
The collective was founded with the goal of creating inclusive platforms for artistic and cultural exploration, focusing on communities that have historically been marginalised or excluded from such spaces. Rooted in the local area, they aim to challenge the elitist structures of the art world and democratise access to cultural spaces.
