PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A REPEAT OF THE FREE CPD SESSION WE RAN ON THE 26 NOV, WHICH WE ARE RUNNING AGAIN DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND. IF YOU MISSED JOINING US ON THE 26 NOV OR COULDN’T GET A TICKET PLEASE SIGN UP VIA THE TICKETS LINK BELOW.

If you’re a teacher or educator wondering how to approach contemporary art and how to talk about it with young learners in the classroom, join Trish Scott, CCA’s Engagement Curator, and Neil Walton, subject leader for PGCE Art and Design at Goldsmiths, for a session which provides some suggestions.

Using the diverse and exciting exhibition programme of Goldsmiths CCA as a resource, we will set out a framework of big ideas that makes contemporary art more accessible for all.

If you’re puzzled about contemporary art and what to make of it, this session will show how contemporary art differs from modern or traditional approaches, and will help you develop a language and context for discussing this with young learners.

This event will take place online. Book via the ‘tickets’ link below. You will be emailed with information on joining the conversation a day before the session is due to take place.

Within the session there will be time to reflect on your own classroom practice and needs, and how we might continue to support you over the coming year, so on the day grab a cup of tea and jump online with any questions you may have.
